PDM, PPP Secret Plan: Banking on Mutiny by 30 PTI Members

The opposition hopes to recruit 20-30 PTI MPs while maintaining communication with other government partners, such as the PMLQ and MQM.

A no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan has some logic to it since key opposition figures have great hopes that everything would play out according to the “plan,” which is kept secret and only known to a few.
According to a reliable source, the opposition hopes to recruit 20-30 PTI MPs while maintaining communication with other government partners, such as the PMLQ and MQM.
“Don’t be shocked if some significant opposition member meets Jehangir Tareen in the days to come,” said a source. The source claims that the opposition’s optimistic leaders, including Shehbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Asif Ali Zardari, are certain that the PMLQ and MQM will join them when necessary.

In a few weeks’ time, the opposition expects a no-confidence move against Prime Minister Imran Khan. An insider tells he does not know for sure whether the “plan” offered to opposition leaders is trustworthy and is not a part of a larger strategy.

At least one prominent opposition leader is so certain in the outcome that he has discussed who he wants to succeed Imran Khan, according to a source. In the face of recent encounters with the PMLQ and MQM, the optimistic are unfazed. It is the opposition’s expectation that these PTI friends would come to their side at the opportune moment. The optimistics believe that the PTI MPs will back them, and a no-confidence motion against the prime minister would be brought before the end of the month.

Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Moulana Fazlur Rehman have recently been more active and have attended a series of talks with each other and with the PTI allies. The PDM’s decision to initiate a no-confidence against the prime minister when the opposition appears to be short of the needed numbers is startling.

Apparently, the coming days and weeks will be crucial. Tensions over a no-confidence vote to remove Imran Khan from office are expected to wane as March approaches, according to opposition sources. According to a source, the PTI’s 30 MPs would play an important role if they come up as expected by the opposition.
